Students’ Association Congress needs representatives. Students interested in representing their dorms, academic buildings, off-campus students, or their class as class officers are to meet in Bible Building Room 115, Wednesday August 31st, 2011 at 5 PM. Petitions will go out Wednesday and will be due back Friday, September 2nd at 5pm. Then candidates will meet at 5:15 in Bible Room 115 to go over Campaigning Rules. Campaigns continue until Elections which will be the following week.
The Students’ Association Congress is a great way to serve the student body. Here students can participate in the allocation of student funds and the creating or amending of legislation of the student body.
The Congress meets once a week to discuss possible activities and ideas that directly affect the student body. Congress members are placed in committees such as the Internal Affairs, External Affairs, and Financial Committees. These Committees facilitate the evaluation of different initiatives that overall seek to improve Student Life and the ACU experience.
It is a great way to be involved and any eligible student can run for Congress.
