Petitions to run for office in the Students’ Association will be released Friday, April 1 at noon. Those seeking a petition can get them in the SA office. Those that will be juniors or seniors at teh end of the current semester are eligible to run for the positions of Executive President, Execute Vice President or Executive Treasurer. More details about election and campaign rules can be found in the SA office. A full description of each position is listed below.
President-Director of External Affairs. Responsible for projects that affect the entire student body
and projects that go beyond the ACU community. Advocates on behalf of the student body to the
Administration, and work with them to pursue long term goals for students. Works closely with upper level administrators and various contacts outside of the ACU community.
Vice President-Director of Internal Affairs. Responsible for projects that effect smaller groups of
students here on the ACU campus. Also responsible for projects that are focused on the Students’
Association Congress. Oversees and runs all elections that are held by the Students’ Association. Works closely with the Students’ Association Congress and other ACU student leaders.
Treasurer-Head of the Treasury department. Responsible for putting together the Students’ Association budget during the first weeks of each semester. During the semester the treasurer monitors the financial behavior of the Students’ Association and keeps track of current spending of students groups. Works closely with leaders of ACU student groups to develop budgets and fund special events during the
year.
